Hi! My name is Georgia and for the past twenty years I’ve been living with chronic depression. It’s been very hard at times, a lot of crying, a lot of tears, a lot of suffering. Many suicidal thoughts. I knew during my last depressive episode that I could no longer continue living like this, so even though it was the hardest thing for me to do at the time, I decided to get help. I reached out to my doctor, I saw my psychologist, I saw a psychiatrist, I took medication, I did self management workshops. I did what I had to do to stay alive and get better. For this reason, I feel so much stronger today. I feel I have the tools to cope at whatever life throws my way. For me there is always hope. Recovery is possible.
